Compassionate Parenting

Become the parent you want to be

Program Description

Compassionate Parenting is a 7-week online psychoeducational program, designed to support parents throughout the unique and deeply demanding journey of parenthood. The program aims to strengthen emotional resilience, improve the relationship with both oneself and one's children, and cultivate a more compassionate way of communicating and showing up within the family.
Grounded in the work of Dr. Chris Irons and Dr. Charlie Heriot-Maitland, and inspired by the theory of Prof. Paul Gilbert, this program translates current findings from Neuroscience and clinical Psychology into practical tools for everyday life.

Within a safe and supportive framework, parents learn how to:

understand how the mind works under pressure
regulate difficult emotions in the very moment they arise
respond with greater composure and stability
build a more supportive and secure relationship with their children

Each session includes:
Clear, substantive theoretical content: Clear, evidence-based insights into the mechanisms of the mind.
Practical experiential exercises, including:
Mindfulness practices
Guided visualization

Program Content

the "three emotional systems" model and how a parent’s emotional imbalance influences the home atmosphere and child behavior.
compassion in practice: What it truly is and how it empowers parents to remain grounded and steady, even during moments of high intensity.
the three flows of compassion: Compassion toward the child, from the child, and toward oneself—and why balancing these flows is vital for a secure, nurturing relationship.
cultivating emotional regulation skills, so that you can respond with calm, clarity, and genuine connection rather than automatic reaction.
